Why does HelfAHRwein exist?
The (mud) tidal wave that caused devastating damage in the Ahr Valley on the night of July 14-15, 2021, also hit the Ahrweiler Winzer-Verein hard. The estimated damage amounts to over 1 million euros. And only a small part of this is covered by insurance and reconstruction aid.
HelfAHRwein is a project of the heart, supported by volunteers. Under the guidance of the winegrowers, they take on the cultivation of a vineyard themselves. From the first pruning to the sale of the unique, exclusive HelfAHRwein. 100% of the proceeds go towards reconstruction.
